After watching Franklin Morales ground out on a 3-2 pitch yesterday, I came to the following tactical decision: If I were an NL manager, I would forbid my pitchers to ever swing at any pitch once they had reached a three-ball count. Even if it's 3-2.
I think the lowest-level minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros has enforced that rule for all players on the 3-2 count specifically.
