They're 7-8 but their point differential is a whopping -110. Only the Raiders (barely), Indigenous Persons, Jaguars and Texans are worse.
Cowboys have signed the 41 year old Kitna.
When Jon Kitna heard the Cowboys needed a third-string quarterback after Tony Romo went down with a back injury, he picked up the phone and gave Jason Garrett a call.
“I think he was gung ho,” Garrett said. “He actually reached out to us.”...
“My comment back was, ‘Are you serious?’ He said, ‘Absolutely,’ ” Garrett said. “He was excited about it. He spoke to his family about it, and it just made sense to us. We’ll see what he’s able to do here today and over the next couple of days and see how well he functions.”
There are seven late games all of which could be important. I can't remember that happening.
I have to think that is intentional on the NFL's part.
Also, when did they scrap the Saturday game?
Attorneys for the St. Louis Rams have filed a tax appeal with the state of Missouri, seeking a refund of about $400,000.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have also asked the state to forgive an additional $445,000 in unpaid taxes. So far, the state has refused to give any money back to the NFL team.
The Rams have contested tax assessments before - they've filed six appeals since 2008, amounting to $4.7 million at face value.
The Post-Dispatch reported that the appeals began after a state audit in September 2008, when the Rams were told that the team owed nearly $1.4 million in unpaid taxes on luxury club memberships. The Rams protested that assessment - the first of the six appeals.
Maybe 2-3 years ago? They quietly phased it out - I'm not sure of the reasoning.
No better defense to shake the rust out against than Chicago's -- worst run defense in the league (they allow 5.4! yards per rush) and fewest sacks in the league. They should be able to run it to ease the offensive load on Rodgers, and when they do pass Rodgers isn't likely to be pressured as often.
When did the NFL network and Thursday night games start up?
They probably don't do both (at least after the second Saturday in December) to avoid overexposing the league.
The last Saturday game, I believe, was a Christmas night game which in all probability was scheduled more because of the holiday than because of the day of the week.
It's too bad that they can't re-assign one of the AFC wild card slots to either the Saints
Of course if KC beats the Chargers I'm going to have to figure out a way to delete that previous sentence.
Manning now 69 yards shy of single season record for passing yardage.
I'd be rooting pretty hard for the Chiefs if I were a Broncos fan.
And there's zero doubt he'll take a seat for the rest of the evening as soon as he obtains said record.
Why would the Colts be a second bye?
What were people saying Pittsburgh's real chances were? 3%?
more dangerous on paper than either Eli Giants title teams in regular season those years.
Do people still discount their chances to win the Super Bowl?
has dallas been called for a single penalty yet?
I'm not a fan of no back sets on the goal line/2 point conversions.
