Baseball at 9 am in the morning. I can dig it.
---move to third on a "productive out"
---(watch Votto get intentionally walked)
---score on another productive out
He left a game with neck spasms? That's a thing?
Matt Adams with another opposite field hit...
No homers for him yet, but he's on pace for 70+ doubles.
Jim Johnson is just completely garbage. I still have no idea what Beane was thinking in trading for him.
I hate intentionally walking the bases loaded with 2 outs and the winning run on 3rd.
What do you think of Hector? He's maddening to watch, has talent but usually he's too inefecient to last much longer than the 6th inning, and if he's getting hit, like last night, forget about toughening up and taking one for the team. He gets unhinged far too easily for a guy that's officially been a starter for a few years.
Josh Hamilton's sore thumb has torn ligaments, requiring surgery and a DL trip.
EDIT: I think the idea with Johnson wasn't so much about Johnson or Balfour, but avoiding having to pay any of their existing very good bullpen guys Closer Money.
Well the first inning of this Nats game sure could've gone better...
But why is paying Jim Johnson Closer Money any better?
Beckett's fastball looks a lot better than the last 2 years. Looks like that thoracic outlet surgery really helped his shoulder/arm.
I'm gonna guess holding onto the lead isn't too likely at this point...
OK, what are the Tigers doing with Smyly this year?
