Wow, City's B team beat Bayern in Munich after going down 2-0? I certainly would not have called that one.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen could miss the entire festive period due to an ankle injury, according to The Guardian.
Vertonghen sustained the injury during Spurs’ 2-1 victory over Fulham last week and, although he tweeted that he hoped the injury was not too severe, the newspaper says an initial MRI scan suggested a ligament tear and a layoff of around four weeks.
So I'm learning a lot about European free market economics through FM 2013. I like how the players can renegotiate their contracts, but holy hell they seem to wield a lot of power when it comes to getting moved when they are unhappy. Especially when they have massively overrated their own talent.
"I should be playing on the Senior team!! Loan me out or play me or take recourse on the matter."
Well, one, I don't like threats. Two, you're not good enough to play on the Senior Team, and three...no one wants to take you out on loan. Now GTFO.
I was happy with what I paid price given that FM is basically the only computer game I play anymore.
I discovered this American kid who was a God at age 17, and got him to sign for Partick Thistle (Second tier Scottish in 2012). I looked him up and apparently he's a programmer. I then sold him for 7,000,000 mill. A team like Thistle getting 7 mill doesn't seem particularly realistic.
Spurs' left has been a mess since Rose went down for "a couple of weeks", 3 *months* ago, but frankly, AVB needs dinging for coming into the season thinking Rose was the front-line answer at that position to begin with, or at least without procuring another left back of at least a similar quality (and, no, Kyle Naughton isn't that answer).
Jonathan Wilson has ANOTHER! book out
I'm exceptionally confused. Are there two famous soccer-writer Jonathan Wilsons? This article can not possibly be talking about the one I'm familiar with.
Ah! That's a weird coincidence. Too many Jonathan Wilson's running around writing about soccer.
In unrelated news, Boring James Milner's twitter was introduced to me this morning. So great.
The objections I have heard are centered on automobile access and parking, which would obviously be better at this site (which also has express subway access, whereas Baker requires a relatively long trip on a local).
No way does Chelsea not bring Lukaku back
That makes sense. I thought maybe they wouldn't be as expensive since they are still young (very young in Deulofeu's case) and somewhat unproven.
I get that, but it could be decades, if ever, that they're in Europe again.
Even before leading the United States into next year's World Cup, Jürgen Klinsmann has been signed to stay on as coach for the 2018 World Cup.
Klinsmann, whose side play Germany, Portugal and Ghana in the group stage in Brazil next summer, has agreed to a four-year contract extension. The German has been the US head coach since July 2011, however his new deal gives him the additional title of the US Soccer Federation's technical director.
Awesome, I am really really happy to see that Klinsy will be around for the next cycle too.
Robin Van Persie will miss the entire festive period with a thigh injury. I'm not playing Taps for Man U yet, but I'm getting my horn out of its case...
History is very unkind to managers who coach back to back World Cups, and to sign Klinsmann to a contract extension before the World Cup is bizarre. Why the need to do it now?
It looks like a thigh injury but I'm wondering if Moyes rushed him back from the groin problem and that it had some cascading effect.
