I think someone said something to this effect in the previous thread, but I think at this point we have to conclude that he's not (yet?) good enough to play in a top league.
I'd say he's not capable of carrying a very bad team. Put him on a team like West Brom or maybe even Fulham and he'd look better out there

Pellegrini has rightly considered that Sunderland is utterly toothless. Starting DeMichelis, Lescott and Javi Garcia.
I'm not sure what to make of this. It's all Spurs but they can't finish at all.

Yeah. The conventional wisdom among Spurs fans this year seems to be that Townsend has been good but I haven't been impressed. I'm not sure Lennon is the answer, though. Lamela needs to be getting PL minutes.
I'll just note that I bet on both Roma and City today.
Premier League used to be much more segregated just a couple of years ago, but right now the top teams seem unusually vulnerable. I'm far too cynical to think that that will last long.
