Juventus was administering PEDs to players without their knowledge a while back.
integrity......role models....signal HS and college players that it is acceptable or necessary to use the substances.
Who is Juventus, and what team did he work for? Or did he have a private firm, like Conte? I heard nothing about this.
Of course I'm shocked that we haven't really had any violent assaults on players either (e.g. Monica Seles). Wally Joyner is about the only one I can remember (not counting Lyman Bostock situations that were independent of the player being a player).
It is also clear that when some players use these substances it gives them a competitive advantage over others.
it surprises me not only that there aren't assassination attempts in the sports context (famous people on display in a relatively low-security environment), but that there aren't many political assassination attempts anymore (in the West, anyway).
Aren't most of the players Steinberg represents quarterbacks? How many MLB clients does he have?
I think modern security (especially the Secret Service) is just that much better than before. Additionally, I think they do a great job of not publicizing threats, again especially against the President.

crazy people have trouble getting things accomplished because they're crazy. Which I'm sure is largely true... but still, there are degrees of crazy, and plenty of things a crazy person could try.
