- Chris Sale: 159 ERA+, 149 K's in 137 innings, 1.015 WHIP, 3 complete games, 6 wins, 10 losses.
It seems there are guys like Hawkins all over the place these days. Aren't coaches failing these guys? I know Ks are not that bad as far as a comparison to other types of outs, but prospects are just being consumed by them. Maybe sacrifice a little power to make a little more contact? Nobody makes that trade any more?

2. The Sox haven't developed a quality hitter in a *long* while. Gordon Beckham has shown signs of being a decent MLB hitter, but those are only flashes. Tyler Flowers is looking more like a mediocre back up catcher than a power-hitting starter. Dayan Viciedo still looks lost in the majors. Even the hitters they've traded away- Chris Carter, Chris Young- haven't turned into much.
They haven't developed a hitter since the Joe Crede/Aaron Rowand era.
None of the AL contenders need a SS
